Owing to the scarcity of books and texts in the country, lecturers in the college make available to students lecture-notes of their various courses. Students are therefore, advised to provide sufficiently for themselves to enable them pay for course materials.

Admission into the programme, matriculation of students , lectures examinations, graduation and certification are carried out under the auspices of the University of Ibadan.The programme has since produced two sets of graduates

STUDENT AFFAIRS

There is a student Union body organized at both Full-Time and Part-Time levels in the college. Every student is automatically a member of this Union, when he/she registers on admission. This body is-responsible for the general welfare of the entire students and co-operates with the college through the Student Affairs Officers to see that students' needs are generally and fairly met.

The Union Officers comprise the President, Vice - President, General Secretary and the Assistant, Financial Secretary, Publicity/Social Secretary, public Relations Officer and the Provost. There is also student Librarian amongst the officers who works hand in hand with the college Librarian The College cherishes and upholds dearly a democratic participation of each and every member in the government of college. Hence any student is free always to negotiate for his/her rights on the platform of the student union Body

GUIDANCE AND COUNCELLING

The guidance and counselling unit of the college was set up to help students cope with personal, academic, career, social spiritual and study problems which may be a hindrance to realizing their educational goals. To meet these needs the units offers to all students and staff a variety of service with the ultimate goal of resolving their individual problems.

The activities of the counselling unit are co-ordinated by professional Guidance Consellors who are alwyas at the service of students and staff with utmost confidentiality. Cases, which cannot be handled, are always referred to the appropriate quarters. Student are given the opportunity to share and discuss related problems.

FACILITIES

ASSEMBLY HALL I AUDITORIUM

Prefab Block provides an assembly hall auditorium for major occasions such as matriculation and graduation ceremonies as well as Examination hall.

THE RESOURCES CENTER/LIBRARY

Students and staff have opportunities to benefit from the services of these units, which have resource materials and equipment that could be borrowed by both staff and students.The resource center has tables and chairs for staff and students to use while producing their instructional materials. The center is also in a position to conduct workshops on how to produce and use instructional materials in the teaching learning process. It also provides micro-teaching services.

CARPARK

Parking spaces are provided for students at the hostel premises. Please note that students are not allowed tg park at the Administrative Premises.

PHOTOCOPYING SERVICES

This is one of the services provided to alleviate the problems formally encountered by staff and students who were going out of the college premises in search of where to photocopy their documents. The college charges are subsidized.

CHAPEL SERVICES

There is a chapel attached to the college where students especially Catholics attend mass daily.

RECREATIONAL

A large common-room is provided at the hostel where students and their visitors watch television, play indoor games such as Ludo, Chess, etc. There are also equipment for Table Tennis and foot-ball, although the football is played on St. Finbar's College play ground because the college does not have space for a football field.

EXAMINATION REGULATION

All Candidates Shall Register For College Examination By Completing Appropriate Form To Be Signed By Course Lecturers, HOD(S), Bursary And Registry.

To Qualify For Examination, A Candidate Shall Fulfill College, School And Departmental Requirements Including 70% Attendance At Lectures In Respect Ofthe Course( S) To Be Examined.

Knowledge Of Examination Date(S) Time(S), And Place(S) Shall Be The Responsibilities Of Candidates, Which Could Be Obtained From The Notice Board.

A Candidate Shall Arrive At The Examination Hall And Be Seated At Least 30 Minutes Before The Advertised Time On The Timetable.

Candidates Shall Not Be AlIm: Ed Into The Examination Hall After 30 Minutes Of Commencement Of Examination Without Authentic Reason.

Candidates Shall Be Allowed 0 Leave The Examination Hall Within The Period Of Writing Only Under The Continuous Supervision Of The Invigilator( S) .

The department of Guidance and Counselling was established in 2002/2003 academic session, with the approval of the Senate of the University of Ibadan to train qualified Counsellors for the nation's school and all other relevant walks of life where their services will be needed
